United Nations ambassadors of France, Germany and the United Kingdom distributed a letter to the organization's secretary general Antonio Gutarsh on Wednesday, posted on a social media video showing the pilot flight of the "Shihab 3" missile, Iran's medium-range ballistic missile When the missile said he had "a technical capability for carrying nuclear weapons."

The video, which was released along with the letter, was reportedly released on networks in April this year, revealing to them a video that had not been seen before of an experimental flight on the "Shihab 3" missile. "France, Germany and the United Kingdom once again insist on their firm position that the Iranian development of ballistic missiles with other nuclear capabilities and related technologies is inconsistent," the letter said.

The letter sent by the states appeals to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterresh, claiming that "Iran's nuclear-capable ballistic missiles are under development" underlines the UN Security Council's decision calling on Tehran to refrain from any such missile activity. The Iranian does not match the spirit of the agreement signed with the powers in 2015.

Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday night between Wednesday and Thursday that President Trump is considering sending some 14,000 more U.S. troops to the Middle East in the near future, with a view to intensifying pressure on Iran. Reportedly denied by Pentagon spokeswoman Alyssa Farah. Farah tweeted: "Just to clarify, the reporting is wrong. The United States is not considering sending another 14,000 troops to the Middle East to fight Iran."

These events occur in the shadow of reports from US sources to the Associated Press that a US Navy warship has seized an Iranian ship and a "large pool" of Iranian guided missile parts intended for the Houthi insurgents in Yemen. The US Navy has claimed that this is the first time a shipment of such advanced missiles has been caught on its way to Yemen, subject to a brutal civil war for several years. The weapon is reportedly in a small ship after a U.S. Navy raid and Coast Guard raid aboard the Arabian Sea.
