Milan goes back to the Neapolitan tradition of suspended coffee with a similar initiative that involves its sweet symbol: the panettone. Thus the suspended Panettone, to which several Milanese patisseries have joined, arrives in the city during the Christmas holidays from 7 to 22 December, where there will be the possibility for those who wish to pay an extra panettone for those most in need. This year the desserts will go to Casa Jannacci, a municipal structure for the temporary reception of homeless people. Even the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, sponsored the charity initiative on his social pages, making himself be portrayed in a shot while throwing a panettone in the air. "Take part in Panettone Sospeso too. A panettone even for those who can't buy it," wrote Sala.
