It is understood that the deceased was a Vietnamese national holding a temporary identity certificate (commonly known as "street paper"). At the time of the incident, he saw a pair of Vietnamese men and women arguing at the address, during which the man suspected that the knife was going to attack the woman. To prevent the injury, the man was punched through the chest with a knife. The wounded was certified dead at 6 pm after being delivered to the hospital. A 23-year-old Vietnamese woman was also injured and sent to hospital. The suspect then fled and the Kowloon City Police District Squad was investigating the incident.
