The 38-year-old man who was arrested over the weekend in Lod on suspicion of molesting his son and injuring him was extended Thursday in the city district court, until Sunday. This is the second time the father's arrest has been extended. The suspicion against the father was reinforced after the medical opinion determined that the injuries to his son's head were caused by a blow and did not fall as the father claimed in his investigation. The judge also stated in his decision that an expert opinion determined that the injury to the baby's cheek was caused by a possible slap, and in any case a force exertion.

The father was arrested last weekend after evacuating his son, a nine-month-old baby, to the Assaf doctor's hospital, suffering from a head injury. The Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court released the father to a three-day house arrest. At the conclusion of the hearing, the police applied for a stay of execution in favor of a court-approved appeal. Subsequently, the district court granted the police request and extended his arrest by three days.

During his police investigation, the father said he fed the baby overnight, while the mother slept. He said he left his son on the couch and went to make food for him, and then he fell. In another version, police said, the toddler may have been hit by the dinner table. The source of the investigation details said in a conversation with Walla! NEWS that the father changed versions during the interrogation, and that the findings in the field did not align with the statements he gave to the investigators. He said the one who hid the case from the mother raised the suspicion on the matter.

His wife told Vala earlier this week! NEWS that police also identified her as a suspect in the act, and revealed the events of the last days leading up to her husband's arrest. According to her, the blow that her son received, whether by her husband or not, happened while she was not at her home. "It happened on Tuesday night," returning to Liron (pseudonym). "I blew the kid and put him to sleep. I went out of the house and when I came back the kids were in bed with my husband. He said everything was fine, that he ate.

In the morning Liron discovered that it was not a stain. "It was already half-face, it was really scary. The baby's behavior was fine, not sensitive. His function was fine, he ate well, played, saw movies ... I didn't know what to do. They did, and they filmed it. I asked if he fell in with them, and they said they really didn't. I trust them very much, they have cameras and I follow. "

At that point, she said, she booked a doctor's appointment the next morning, Thursday. "When I came home, I asked my husband what happened to the boy. He was really scared, and said that a doctor should be called urgently. I asked him to tell me what happened, and he said that everything was calm and in order. He said he might have fallen and it turned up at night. But he insisted he was telling the truth. At that time, they called the preschool and told me to come and take the child to the hospital and not wait until the morning for the doctor because it could be dangerous. "
