The High Court on Thursday ordered the Health Ministry to partially halt medical cannabis reform and reinstate the drug price for all doses to NIS 370. According to the three judges, including Supreme Court Vice President Hanan Meltzer, the decision will take effect on 15 In December, until the end of March, the judges added, "Why not set maximum prices for medical cannabis products?"

The judges emphasized that the decision's implications are also for medical cannabis companies. "The interim order should therefore be read as mandatory for both the offices, and the medical cannabis manufacturing and supply companies responding to the petition to add and deliver medical cannabis to license holders whose expiry was to expire on July 31, 2017, until March 31, 2020, or up to 10 days after the committee's decision The prices, whichever comes first, or until another decision, all in the terms of supply and prices that were customary under the old regulation. The petition was submitted to the High Court by the Cannabis Medical Association for the beginning of the cannabis reform, before which the plant was sold in all its forms directly between growers and consumers. As expected, the cost of the product increased at the beginning of the reform, which required patients to buy it through pharmacies while prices skyrocketed. This, along with other reform failures, according to patients, led to a protest against the Ministry of Health and the Medical Cannabis Unit.

The Ministry of Health said in response that "the ministry has made the decision and will work to implement it. In fact, Honorable Justice Meltzer emphasizes the importance of the price issue, which the ministry is working on and supports. The decision today advances the issue and requires the price committee to decide."
