[Fugitives Regulations] Policewoman charged with assaulting crane repairman when arrested

A storm of revisions triggered a series of protest movements. Recently, some people suspected that the road around Ma Tau Wai Road in To Kwa Wan was blocked by police. The police sent a large number of masked plainclothes police to ambush the day before. Four middle school students were arrested. The female inspector arrested the female student when she was attacked by a middle-aged man. The man involved was charged with assaulting a police officer and was detained to Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts today (6th). No defense is required for the time being. The case was adjourned until the next month on the 17th, pending further investigation by the police, and the defendant was released on bail.

The defendant, Huang Weixian (47 years old, crane repairman), was charged with assaulting a female inspector at the junction of Ma Tau Wai Road and Farm Road in To Kwa Wan on December 4.

The defendant was banned from leaving the country, but was approved to leave Hong Kong from 8 to 15 of this month. He must pay a security deposit of 20,000 first, and the bail will be reduced to 2,000 yuan after returning to Hong Kong. In addition, he must report to the police station once a week. It is understood that the plainclothes inspector had previously identified himself to the defendant several times beforehand.
