Recall, after the offending driver was examined, and found not to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident, the traffic magistrate ordered Thursday (Thursday) to release the 18-year-old driver from the village due north of Jerusalem.

The request to extend his detention less than a day after he was released was due to new information received by the police. The offending driver is still hospitalized at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and the hearing will therefore not be able to take part in the hearing on his case.
