Four people were killed tonight (Friday) in South Florida following a police chase for a vehicle belonging to the UPS messenger company that was stolen. The two suspects are among those killed, as well as one of the robbed employees, Frank Ordonese.

The incident began after the two armed suspects robbed a jewelry store in Coral Gables, located in Miami-Dade County, in the afternoon (local time). According to FBI agent George Piero, after about 20 minutes or so, the two stole the UPS vehicle, then began a chase that continued across several counties.

According to a photo from a helicopter, at least one body is seen near the vehicle. According to the agent, the two suspects were killed, as well as two innocent people found dead during the chase. Authorities said no law enforcement officials were injured in the incident.

At UPS they confirmed that one of the fatalities was the company's employee. "We are very saddened to hear that one of the company's employees was killed as a result of this stupid act of violence," the company said. "We send our condolences to the family and friends of the employee and those of the other innocent victims. We appreciate the work of the law authorities and will cooperate with the authorities during the investigation."
