The defendant, Xiu Mei (56), a former insurance manager of Anda, was charged with two counts of fraud and breached section 16A (1) of the Theft Ordinance. The defendant joined Anda as insurance manager in May 2014. According to her employment contract, if she can maintain 9 offline agents as of the end of April 2016, she will be able to enjoy a bonus of about 330,000 yuan. If the defendant wishes to hire anyone as its offline agent, he must submit an application form containing the applicant's work experience to Anda and attach the relevant supporting documents.
The two accusations alleged that the defendant allegedly falsely stated to Anda on April 14 and 20, 2016 that one applicant had worked for two companies and the other had all of the rights stated in his application form Work experience and intent to deceive Anda to hire them, resulting in the defendant gaining benefits or being disadvantaged. The ICAC received a corruption complaint earlier, and the investigation revealed the suspected crime. Anda provided full assistance during the ICAC's investigation of the case.
