MOSCOW - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed on Monday with the special envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Syria Ged Pederson the situation in Syria and the need to continue the Syrian-Syrian dialogue without any external interference.
Sputnik quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement a joint opinion was expressed on contributing to a sustainable and fruitful dialogue between the Syrians without external interference.
Also discussed was the issue of holding another international meeting on Syria in the form of Astana on the 10th and 11th of this month in the Kazakh capital Nursultan, according to a statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
