The Church of Our Lady of Transition in the countryside of Daraa, Daraa, opened the glorious Christmas and New Year seasons by lighting the Christmas tree and opening the cave in the presence of a mass audience.
At the sound of the band of ceremonies, church bells and fireworks, the tree was lit and the cave was opened, as the participants expressed their joy on this occasion.
Father Merhi Al-Najm, the pastor of the Church of Our Lady of Transition, expressed with a statement to the correspondent of Sana about the importance of this occasion, out of the firm belief in the birth of Jesus Christ, expressing his hope that peace and security will prevail in all parts of Syria.
Grace Khallaf and Bashar Wahba, the participants in the opening ceremony, expressed their hope that the tree and the cave will contribute to putting a smile on the lips of children and that joy will enter the hearts of the people of the town.
The ceremonial team of Khabb, consisting of five people, confirmed that Khabb, like other villages in Daraa Governorate, will remain an inexhaustible torch lit with hope and hope for the reconstruction of our beloved Syria.
The cave included houses and lighting decorations, a waterfall, a well and a place that embodies the birthplace of Jesus, peace be upon him, while the length of the Christmas tree reached 13 meters, and the church foyer was chosen as a place for it.
