Chairman of the Judicial Committee of the US House of Representatives Gerold Nadler confirmed that the White House's refusal to participate in a hearing isolating US President Donald Trump will not dissuade Democrats from "carrying out their constitutional duty", noting that the committee gave the latter a fair opportunity to refute the charges against him, but he met them with rejection.

In response to a letter he received from the White House legal counsel, Pat Siboloni, who refused to participate in the second session of Trump's accountability measures, Nadler said, according to Reuters quotes: “Trump gave us a fair opportunity to interview the witnesses and present his testimony to show us convincing evidence, after hearing his criticism of his isolation and we were hoping that he would accept the invitation To attend the session or send a lawyer, but he refused this opportunity. ”He added:“ Trump can no longer claim that the process is unfair and his refusal to attend hearings will not prevent us from fulfilling our sacred constitutional duty. ”

The Judicial Committee of the House of Representatives will hold new hearings as part of the accountability measures next Monday after US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ordered the preparation of formal charges against Trump.

In his letter to the House Judicial Committee yesterday, the White House reiterated its position, mainly as a result of Trump's accountability measures, against the backdrop of seeking foreign aid to interfere in the 2020 US presidential election, describing the investigations into the removal of the US President as "without legal basis."

Not only did the White House refuse to participate in the accountability measures, but rather demanded Democrats in the House to end investigations related to Trump's abuse of his presidential power by pressuring Ukraine to discredit Joe Biden, his opponent in the upcoming elections.

The Intelligence Committee of the US House of Representatives announced last week that Trump sought interference from abroad to win the upcoming presidential elections and undermined national security and ordered an unprecedented campaign to face the repercussions of a scandal related to his contact with his Ukrainian counterpart and his attempt to open an investigation on Biden while three American constitutional experts expressed support for the efforts of Democratic representatives To isolate Trump, considering that his petition to push an outside party to interfere in the American elections constitutes a valid basis for his removal.
