The State Police Investigations Department is investigating five police officers from the northern area, suspected of trafficking in weapons and ammunition. Three of the police officers are police officers in the logistics department and two of the police officers are regular Border Police officers.

It is suspected that the five police officers were involved in the theft of firearms and ammunition from their workplace and committing firearms offenses. Three other civilians were also arrested on suspicion of involvement in the commission of the crimes. Nazareth Magistrate's Court extended the detention of two of the police officers until Thursday and Friday this week, another police officer and three civilians will be arrested for further detention later today. The investigation is ongoing in the case of the remaining two suspects.
