In the state of Tennessee aquarium, who lights the Christmas tree and even makes special growling noises is the electric eel Miguel.

The tropical fish, found in South America, discharges electricity to water up to 860 volts each time it gets excited or finds food. The aquarium staff connected special sensors to the water where Miguel is located, so that they would absorb its electricity discharge and flow the energy into speakers that convert it into sounds and illuminate the Christmas tree for a short time but more intensely than usual.

In nature, electricity allows eels to live in the shallow, murky waters of the rivers of South America. Using the electric currents, the eel stunts its prey and keeps potential predators away from it. In the case of a particularly stubborn predator, the electric eel can leap out of the water and give a powerfully targeted electric market. The eels even interact with each other by beating electricity, with males and females having another power of electrical discharge that allows them to recognize each other.
