The battle for primaries continues: After the Likud has decided to hold primaries for the party, to the extent that the 22nd Knesset is dispersed tomorrow, and after it is revealed that the scheduled date for the primaries is December 23.

Knesset Member Yoav Kish (Likud) attacked the proposed date on Tuesday, arguing that holding primaries on that date would allow for mistakes and even fraud in the election process. "There will be no," Kish wrote in his Twitter account, adding, "the primaries date will be the 6.1 to allow fair and democratic elections. The primaries are always set about three weeks after the center's decision on the issue.

"The goal, to allow voter book review and corrections and prevent a kidnapper from making serious claims about" handling "the book ... has been updated in the diaries," he added.

To this, his party member, Knesset Member Mickey Zohar, responded to his Twitter account, writing: "And when will we start with the Likud campaign? You will be surprised, but there are other important things (such as the future of the state, for example) besides personal political ambitions."

However, at this stage it is unclear whether this is indeed the planned date for the primaries, and Likud Center chairman Haim Katz said at this stage "there is no summary on the primaries date. Any decision on the matter requires common consent. "

In recent weeks, Kish has become one of the prominent supporters of MK Gideon Sa'ar, who is expected to face Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Likud's primaries. Kish confronted Zohar about the Likud faction in the Knesset, but lost him.
