Lod District Court sentenced today a 28-year sentence to 37-year-old Trico Brahno of Netanya, who was convicted of admitting the murder of his 79-year-old neighbor, Franklin Franklin Key, last January. The defendant was ordered to pay financial compensation to the deceased's daughter, who also attacked and wounded, in the amount of NIS 258,000. Sentence was given after the defendant was convicted as part of a plea bargain with intent to commit murder, serious mischief, theft and disruption of court proceedings.

As we previously reported, the defendant broke into the elderly home that was alone in the shower. This is for the purpose of robbing him. He hit the deceased throughout his body until he lost his life from a serious injury to his brain. We then picked up the apartment keys and returned to it several times during the weekend after the murder to steal property.

Later, the defendant returned to the apartment and tried to disguise the murder as an accident and tried to ignite the scene when he was then surprised by the deceased's daughter, who arrived at the apartment because her father did not answer her calls. The defendant hit her in the head and despite her injuries, she managed to escape and call police. The defendant was found the next day near his own home and in his possession found equipment belonging to the deceased. Last July, the defendant pleaded guilty to offenses attributed to him and was now sentenced to sentence.
