Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received this morning Ambassador Lotfi Raouf, Deputy Minister for Coordination of Political, Legal and Security Affairs for Foreign Policy Affairs in Indonesia and his accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed the friendly historical relationship that binds the two friendly countries and peoples and the importance of working to strengthen them in all fields and overcoming the obstacles that prevent this from being achieved, as was also discussed developments in the situation in Syria.

Al-Miqdad gave a general presentation on political and field developments in Syria, confirming Syria's continued fight against terrorism in all its forms and organizations and its total elimination, imposing state authority on all Syrian lands and the exit of all illegal foreign forces present in it in a manner that preserves Syria's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and territorial integrity.

Al-Miqdad indicated that unilateral coercive economic measures affect Syrians in various fields and must be ended.

Al-Miqdad praised the friendly relationship between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Indonesian Republic, as well as the principled positions taken by Indonesia alongside Syria in the crisis it went through, calling for making all possible efforts to develop relations between the two friendly brotherly countries.

In turn, Raouf pointed out the friendship between the two countries, and he pointed out in this regard that, unlike many countries, Indonesia has maintained its presence in Damascus and worked to deepen relations between the two countries in various fields.

Raouf congratulated Syria on the people and leadership of the victories it achieved against terrorism and expressed the desire of Indonesia to achieve more cooperation with Syria in the field of combating terrorism and benefit from the Syrian experience in this field, stressing Indonesia's respect for the sovereignty of Syria over its entire territory.

From the Syrian side, the director of the Asian Department, Ayman Raad and Zina Ali, came from the office of the Deputy Minister, and from the Indonesian side, Carlo Teo, Deputy Minister for National Security Affairs, and Fawzi, the Ambassador of Indonesia in Damascus, and representatives of the departments of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
