She was on sick leave and flew to her daughter in Australia: Viktorija Volk, mother of the former jungle camp candidate Nathalie Volk, must therefore no longer be a licensed teacher. The lower administrative court of Lower Saxony has finally ruled on Tuesday in the last instance.
Volk accompanied her daughter to the RTL shoot in January 2016. For this, the physics and math teacher had initially applied for leave. When this request had been rejected, Volk had been on sick leave for three weeks and had flown to Australia at that time.
Later it came out that she had already signed a contract with RTL in advance, to give the station for a fee at least 18 interviews - which they did locally. After class members recognized her on television and informed the school board, the prosecutor began investigating.
Destroyed relationship of trust
People have already been convicted in criminal proceedings. On Tuesday it was in disciplinary proceedings to the final distance from the civil service. The woman had appealed against a decision of the Administrative Court of Lüneburg.
Already last year, it had gone to the Lüneburg district court to the accusation that the teacher had the certificate of the doctor, who certified her for several weeks disability, with false information. The mentioned symptoms of a depressive illness did not exist this way. Viktorija Volk had denied the intention to deceive in criminal proceedings, but was sentenced by the district court to 5400 euros fine. In addition, she lost the job at her old school, the Gymnasium Soltau.
In the proceedings before the Administrative Court Lüneburg, it was then the question of whether people can still be a civil servant after the fine. "For us it is clear that Ms. Volk is guilty of a serious misconduct," said the representative of the Lower Saxony provincial school authorities in the trial. "She has trampled her duty." The relationship of trust was permanently destroyed.
