A number of members called for increased attention to cleaning and spreading the culture of waste sorting and ending the works of sidewalks, especially repairing cars in the Fahma area of ​​Damascus and transporting them to Hosh Place, calling for a strategy to solve the problem of environmental pollution and restoration of shortages in the number of mechanisms for transporting rubble and garbage in administrative units and addressing the problem of poor water drainage After rain in many areas.

Members indicated that the importance of alternative energy should be given great importance, especially in schools and government departments, developing the local administration law, supporting administrative units in the liberated countryside of Raqqa, providing them with mechanisms and internal transport buses, mechanisms for transporting garbage and pesticides, simplifying procedures for industrialists in industrial cities, and exempting them from licensing renewal fees.

They also called for developing the firefighting system, providing it with aircraft, putting an end to violations by increasing floors in buildings, addressing the problem of slums and paying attention to the aesthetic situation of cities and devoting a culture of cleanliness according to popular campaigns, and that the ministry adopt in the next year afforestation of Syria with extensive campaigns for afforestation, especially areas affected by fires, and to give priority to setting up projects for public housing In reconstruction, especially for those who lost their homes.

The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf, made a presentation about what the ministry had accomplished, pointing out that it had reconsidered investments, as there were 18,000 investment contracts in all administrative units, ten thousand of which were processed, which resulted in five billion pounds, indicating that there are existing treatments within the legal framework for the collection of rights Administrative units, preserving the rights of others, and searching for new investments.

The Minister Makhlouf pointed out that the Ministry is following up the implementation of the “My Project” program that the Syrian Secretariat for Development is doing in partnership with the Ministry, and the number of beneficiaries has reached 73623 thousand in all governorates, so that the end of the current year has been allocated credits worth one billion and 800 million pounds for about twenty development projects in addition to Supporting the implementation of local development projects in addition to the service work for the administrative units and paying attention to the affairs of the martyrs and participating in the Wounded Country project, indicating that 14.2 billion pounds have been allocated for the next year to accomplish development projects owned by the administrative units that they operate and achieve revenue from, which is the most prominent subject Which is being worked on.

Minister Makhlouf stated that the service centers were expanded horizontally, the administrative boundary maps between the governorates, regions, and districts were completed, and networking was activated with all the administrative units and entities affiliated with the ministry, explaining that in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, real estate development areas were created and books of conditions were prepared to announce them in conjunction with amending the Development Law Real estate helps the success of ads that are made in this area.

The Minister Makhlouf pointed out that in the environmental field, sanitation projects were a priority within the available and available capabilities in addition to renewable energies work, as more than 12 thousand renewable energy lighting devices were installed in all governorates.

The Minister Makhlouf pointed to the rehabilitation of many areas liberated from terrorism or the creation of new areas, and all the infrastructure that is being accomplished is placed at the disposal of craftsmen and industrialists, as we have 124 industrial zones, whether they are rehabilitation or new developments.

The Minister of Local Administration indicated that there are external obstacles controlling the supply of buses and equipment. However, 200 buses were supplied, provided that 200 buses be supplied soon, indicating that the government allocated 25 billion to develop the internal transport sector and agreed to import 2000 microbus to solve the transportation problem between the city center and administrative units.

In response to the questions and demands of the members of the People's Assembly, the Minister of Local Administration and Environment pointed out that the priority today is to rehabilitate the infrastructure and services and return the displaced to their areas, pointing out that the Reconstruction Committee has allocated about 117 billion pounds this year and distributed to the provinces.

Minister Makhlouf emphasized work on tackling the issue of sidewalks in the Al-Fahhama area and that the ministry is conducting a competition for cleaners based on requests from administrative units that will ensure their salaries, noting that within the framework of full treatment, the needs of 60 administrative units of the mechanisms will be secured based on requests submitted by various governorates .

The Minister of Local Administration indicated that the work is based on amending the firefighting law to meet all needs, indicating that the law governing the creation of industrial and crafts areas determines the exchange rates at the cost price.

The session, which was attended by Minister of State for People's Assembly Affairs Abdullah Abdullah, was adjourned until twelve o'clock next Sunday.
