Luo Zhuoyao, the HA's staff front committee, revealed that it recruits all HA's staff and now has about 300 members. The goal is to recruit more than one-tenth of HA's staff to be representative, and Has some influence when some actions take place.

Luo Zhuoyao said that one of the original intentions of the union was to provide related support for co-workers. He also pointed out that the members of the new union are "political homogeneity" and relatively young, hoping that it will be easier to launch actions in the future.

Li Wenling, the preparatory committee of the General Union of Speech Therapists of Hong Kong, revealed that the union currently has about 100 members. The goal is to collect about 1,200 adults in the industry to join the union for future actions.

Ma Zhongyi: Trade union representatives can talk to management

Hong Kong Public Medical Doctors Association Chairman Ma Zhongyi said that under the current HA mechanism, it is difficult for unions to speak for members, such as internal hearings held after employees are complained, and unions are not entitled to attend. Ma Zhongyi believes that it is important for trade unions to enter the HA's structure, because if the union members reach 20% of the total number of members in the sector, they can have seats on the consultation committee, which can give trade union representatives the opportunity to directly communicate with Dialogue between the CEO and the chairman.

She revealed that she has joined the newly formed staff of the Hospital Authority, pointing out that the annual membership fee of 300 yuan may seem expensive, but thinking of "a tear gas bomb is 500 mosquitoes", it is still worth joining the union.
