A source in the Russian security services announced today the crash of a military Mi-8 helicopter in the Krasnodar region and the killing of two of its crew.
The source said in statements to Sputnik that "the location of the accident has already been found and the helicopter was completely destroyed in the accident."
In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed in a statement the crash of the helicopter and the killing of two pilots on board in Krasnodar region near Korinovsk airport during a training flight carried out at night under difficult weather conditions.
The statement pointed out that the flight was carried out without ammunition and that the plane crash did not cause material losses, indicating that a special investigation team was sent to the site to investigate the accident.
A small helicopter commander was killed when it crashed in Russia's Vologda district last August.
