Ministry of Industry: Increased production value by about 80 billion pounds from last year

The value of the total production of industrial public establishments since the beginning of the year until last month amounted to more than 318.9 billion Syrian pounds, exceeding the full value of last year's production of more than 239 billion pounds, an increase of 79.8 billion pounds.

According to the productive and marketing report of the Ministry of Industry for the first 11 months of this year, which was singled out by the SANA Economic Bulletin, the General Organization for Cement and Building Materials recorded the highest production value exceeding 128 billion, followed by the textile institution with 41 billion and engineering with more than 40 billion, then the chemical with 39 billion pounds. Tobacco at 26 billion pounds, the food establishment at about 18 billion pounds, and the Cotton Foundation with more than 21.5 billion pounds, and the Sugar Foundation at 4.6 billion pounds.

The report indicated that the eight institutions of the Ministry were able to achieve the value of sales during the past 11 months of this year amounted to about 244 billion pounds, and an increase over the value of the entire production last year by more than 22 billion pounds, during which it sold more than 221 billion pounds came the cement company with the highest value of sales exceeded 67 billion pounds, then the textile establishment, about 41.5 billion pounds. Engineering is about 37 billion pounds. The tobacco establishment, 28.6 billion pounds, the chemical establishment, 24.5 billion pounds, and the Cotton Foundation, about 22 billion pounds, the food establishment, with more than 18.5 billion pounds, and the Sugar Foundation, at 620.4 billion pounds.

The Ministry of Industry indicated that these positive results achieved were the result of the efforts of the cadres and workers of companies and institutions and their insistence on achieving more production and sales values ​​in implementation of the plan of the Ministry of Industry and its directions to invest all human and technical energies on production lines and sign more contracts to market the products of these companies, both with public authorities. Or private or through a number of distribution and sales centers created by the Ministry in the provinces where companies ’products are not manufactured with the aim of achieving the widest horizontal spread of general industrial products.
