Severe terror attack in northwestern Africa: 70 Nigerian army soldiers were killed in an attack by the Boko Haram terrorist organization on a military base near the country's western border.
According to media reports in France, members of the terrorist organization who swear allegiance to the ISIS bombed the base with heavy mortar shells that hit a gasoline and ammunition warehouse that flared, exploding, causing heavy casualties among base defenders.
It has also been reported that nearly 30 soldiers were injured in the attack, which occurred in the town of Inats, on a highway between the capital Niamey and the eastern state. The President of Niger announced that he would cut a political visit to Cairo due to the tragedy.
