Two people were injured, one very severely and the other moderately, in a fire that broke out in a residential building on Pierre Koenig Street, near the Hadar Mall in Jerusalem.
Residents in the area who noticed heavy smoke called out fire and rescue forces, and four fire crews from Jerusalem stations immediately began to fight the blaze. The fire fighters rescued from the building two trapped, one in a severe condition and the other in a moderate condition. At the same time as fire-trapped rescue operations, the fire fighters are working to extinguish the flames in the building and prevent the spread of the fire to the entire building and adjacent buildings.
MDA reports: "At 09:36, a report was received at MDA 101 in the Jerusalem area about a fire in a residential building on General Pierre Koenig Street in Jerusalem. The fire brigade rescued two people from the house. One of them, a man about 50 years old, was unconscious with signs of burns and smoke inhalation, giving him medical treatment that included anesthesia and soul. Another 40-year-old man was conscious and suffering from burns and signs of smoke inhalation, we gave him medical treatment and evacuated both of them urgently to the hospital. "
