A car accident occurred in the West Kowloon Corridor. At 4 am, a garbage truck was driving along the West Kowloon Corridor towards Tsim Sha Tsui. When it was off Yankee Street in Tai Kok Tsui, the driver found that there was a problem with the vehicle's "wind drum", which might affect the brakes, so the car was parked slowly. At the line position, a dead-light lamp is lit, and a roadside shoulder about 10 meters behind the car is placed with a bright-colored plastic tube as a reminder. The driver also stood on the shoulder of the road and directed the following vehicle.

However, about 15 minutes later, when a taxi arrived, there was no deceleration or tangent, and it crashed into the rear of the garbage truck. A male driver on board was trapped and unconscious. Firefighters and ambulancemen arrived at the scene, rescued the injured, and rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. It is understood that the taxi driver had recovered when he arrived at the hospital. Police are investigating the cause of the car accident.
