(CNN Spanish) - In less than a week, the Broward County police authorities in Florida have arrested three young people, in isolated events, for threatening to commit violent acts in certain schools.
The last case recorded was a 16-year-old student from Cypress Bay High School in Weston.
The young man would have sent text messages and emails under the threat of causing a shooting at that school.
Following the investigation of the case, the alleged perpetrator was captured, who faces charges for making false reports of possible use of a firearm and for written death threats.
Broward County officials reiterated that these types of threats are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.

Threats on Snapchat
Another incident was reported at Falcon Cove Elementary School in Weston.
A 12-year-old girl sent threats through the social network Snapchat.
Police authorities reported that the alleged perpetrator would have written a list with the names of the students he would allegedly attack.
The girl was arrested on charges of making a false report of possible use of a firearm and for written death threats.
