Two women were killed and four others were injured after an elephant attack on them near a national park in southwestern Nepal.
"The two women, aged 50 and 38, were gathering food for livestock from a local forest near Chuklavanta National Park when they were run over by the elephant," media quoted a local police officer as saying today.
He added: "The elephant attacked them when they were trying to escape, noting that the four injured are receiving treatment in a cross-border hospital in India."
Two weeks ago, Phil Berry killed a 35-year-old woman and wounded another near a national park in the south-central region of the country.
