A 50-year-old man was seriously injured Wednesday and another 40-year-old man was moderately injured following a fire that broke out in a residential building on General Fire King Street in Jerusalem. MDA crews who arrived at the scene of the evacuation of the wounded, affected by smoke inhalation and burns, went to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in the city.
Four fire crews from Jerusalem stations were summoned to handle the fire. The fire fighters rescued the two trapped from the building, not yet evacuated to the hospital. At the same time as trapped rescue operations, fire crews prevented the spread of fire to nearby buildings.
Emergency medicine wearer Nir Marcus and paramedic MDA Nissim Salem said: "We have come to a private home from which thick smoke has been poured. The fire brigade rescued two people from the house. One of them, a man about 50 years old, was unconscious with signs of burns and smoke inhalation, giving him medical treatment that included anesthesia and soul. Another 40-year-old man was conscious and suffering from burns and signs of smoke inhalation, we gave him medical treatment and evacuated both of them urgently to the hospital. "
