Jersey City Mayor Stephen Pollop of the United States State of New Jersey said Wednesday that evidence of a grocery store attack in his town was growing, during which three civilians were killed.
In a tweet on Twitter, Pollop wrote: "Last night, after watching the security cameras for a long time, it became clear from the footage that the two people were targeting the grocery store on Martin Luther King Road."

Polop added: "The two police officers standing in a nearby street responded and confronted the gunmen, preventing them from causing further casualties. At this moment we have no evidence of any additional risk, but as a precaution, large police forces will remain in the streets."
A police officer and three civilians were killed in the serious shooting incident at a kosher grocery store in New Jersey. Both shooters were also killed. Jersey City Police Chief Michael Kelly said the incident began about 12:30 p.m., a police officer who was investigating a homicide on Saturday for two suspects at Bay View Cemetery.
