A series of documents recounting the situation of family members from the ghetto lodge were recently unveiled, revealing what was the mood in the ghetto in 1941, just before the final solution began. The documents, the Red Cross and the Immigration Bureau shed more light on what was going on at that damn time. The letters are now for sale at the Brand sales office in Bnei Brak.

One of the documents is a letter from the National Committee of the Knesset to a resident of Tel Aviv, who contacted them through the Red Cross to find out what happened to her family. "Your father Moshe Hertz Meyer" lives "in Lodz (Litzmannstadt) 57 Franz St. He is ill. Your mother, Rochnia Meyer. Died on March 15," they wrote laconically. "Mr. Shmuel Wollman was forced to leave Lodz (Litzman - Stat) on November 23, the National Committee of the Knesset and the Human Cross asked us to express their feelings of sorrow on their behalf. Please also accept our condolences in your heavy disaster.

Other documents are Red Cross reports of what happened in those years in the ghetto. These are relatively rare letters from the Red Cross, which at some point stopped engaging in the ghettos due to non-cooperation by the Nazis.

Alongside these documents, the latest Jewish calendar printed on Nazi Germany is also for sale. The calendar for the year 1940, including the entry and exit times of the Sabbath in German cities and prayer times for the Frankfurt am Main synagogues, was printed in Berlin. This is a rare document, since before 1938 Jewish books and writings were burned and Jews were not allowed to publish any communal or cultural details.
