Starting Saturday night, December 21, the highway will start operating from Navon station in the capital to the Tel Aviv defense station - Israel Railways announced. The first train will depart from Navon station in Jerusalem at five to ten o'clock on Saturday night, stop for a few minutes at Ben-Gurion Airport and continue directly to the Tel Aviv defense station. The duration of the trip (including the stop) will be only 35 minutes.

After the premiere ride, starting Sunday morning (December 22), the train will operate every day from 6:20 am to 9:30 pm in both directions, and the schedule has already been updated on the company's website.

For nearly three weeks, the train conducted non-commuter train tours to test the line. So far, the train line has operated with passengers from Jerusalem up to Ben Gurion Airport only.

In addition, until January 28, the work will be continued to electrify the railways in Tel Aviv between the defense stations and the center of the entertainment, and at the end of them will carry out journeys on the tracks. It is estimated that by the end of February the new electric line will be fully operational until the Sevidor station.
