The Chilean Air Force said that on Wednesday, while the search tasks were being carried out, sponge remains were found floating in the sea 30 km south of the position of the last contact of the C-130 Hercules. They could be part of the remains of the sponge of the internal fuel tanks of the plane.
This Thursday, Chilean Defense Minister Alberto Espina gives a press conference to give more details about the wrecked plane.
