Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi condemned the statements of German Foreign Minister Haikou Maas regarding the recent events in Iran, stressing that they are not responsible and indicate interference in the internal affairs of his country.
Mousavi said in a statement today that Mas's statements "cannot cover the failure of some European countries to not implement their obligations to the nuclear agreement and the state of European weakness towards American economic terrorism," adding that "it was expected from Berlin and instead of taking unprofessional and tendentious positions to put Its agenda should consider the primary foundations of human rights with an open, comprehensive eye and on the basis of a neutral approach.
Moussaoui pointed to the suppression of the protesters by the German police during the summit of the twentieth in July 2017 in Hamburg and the sending of weapons to the West Asian region by some European countries, which led to the commission of more destruction, war crimes and massacres, especially against innocent women and children in Yemen.
Mousavi stressed the interest of his country’s government in listening to the opinions and different views of its citizens. He said that “Iran, during the recent turmoil in the country, has distinguished itself in dealing between enemies and those who cause the killing of innocent people and their foreign protections, and between protest views and based on the results of studies and investigations, the necessary decisions will be taken within the framework of respecting the rights of the Iranian people, as well as Provide sustainable security. ”
German Foreign Minister Haikou Maas had recently interfered in Iran's internal affairs by making statements about recent riots.
