New Zealand police said that as of the morning of the 12th, two more wounded had died, bringing the death to eight. The eight missing persons have been presumed dead.
The Chinese Embassy in New Zealand confirmed that two Chinese citizens were injured in the evening. Ambassador Wu Xi went to the hospital on the afternoon of the 11th to visit citizens who were injured in the incident.
