The DPRK described the policies pursued by the United States as similar to the behavior of "bandits", explaining that Washington's criticism of its missile tests at the UN Security Council was "a provocative act."
"The United States held an open meeting of the UN Security Council as it committed a hostile provocation once again by taking up the DPRK because of its actions to modernize weapons for self-defense," the Foreign Ministry spokesman said in a statement carried by the DPRK news agency.
The statement pointed out that the American action is "an aggressive violation of the principle of respecting sovereignty stipulated in the United Nations Charter," adding that if strengthening military capabilities for self-defense should be considered an act that destroys global peace and security, there is a conclusion that all steps taken by other countries to strengthen their defense capabilities should Be taken into consideration.
The statement said that the claim that they have the right to fire missiles at any time and that we are not allowed to conduct tests conducted by any other country highlights the nature of the United States, which is similar to bandits and which seeks to completely disarm us.
The DPRK always stresses that all of its experiences come within the framework of enhancing its capabilities for self-defense in the face of open hostile American threats.
