Ronnie Ritman case: It appears that the indictment against Guy Nir will be canceled
The Police Disciplinary Tribunal has recommended the execution of a mediation procedure in Nir's eyes, which took a compulsory leave from the police in 2015 because of a relationship he had with Officer Ch. The officer complained of sexual harassment by former head of Blade 433 Ronnie Ritman. Police say: "Examining the possibility of ending his employment"
Police Disciplinary Court on Thursday recommended a mediation procedure in the eyes of Gov. Guy Nir, head of the Intelligence Investigation Division, who was taken on forced leave from police in late 2015 because of a relationship he had with police officer Ch. Former Blade 433 stands Ronnie Ritman, who also retired from police ranks about a year and a half ago.
As part of the mediation process, Nir is expected to announce that he is retiring from the police, which automatically warrants the indictment that he will no longer be a police officer, and the case will be closed. Guy Nir's associates said in response to the tribunal's decision that he welcomed the termination of the pending proceeding and the indictment against him. "Guy does not want to retire from the police and he will be happy to contribute to the Israeli police. He is putting himself in whatever role he will be required to do."
According to the Israel Police, "following the recommendation of the Disciplinary Tribunal to conduct a mediation process in the officer's case, the possibility of terminating the employment of a police officer in the Israeli police is currently being investigated and the issue of disciplinary proceedings against him is also being considered."
