The Department of State and Expatriates affirmed that the American administrations committed and are still systematic violations of human rights against the peoples of the world, including killing thousands of people from Raqqa and destroying the city over the heads of their owners, calling for an international investigation of crimes against humanity committed by these departments throughout the world.

A statement issued by the ministry on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the International Day for Human Rights, SANA received a copy of it, “It reminds the government of the Syrian Arab Republic of the systematic violations committed and still being committed by the American administrations in the field of human rights against the peoples of the world from which even the weak immigrants who resort to Its lands are also reminiscent of the crimes committed by the so-called illegal "international coalition" led by the United States of America against Syrian civilians, including killing thousands in the city of Raqqa and destroying the city completely over the heads of its people in violation of Relax human rights instruments, rules of international law and international humanitarian law, and the US use of internationally banned white phosphorous bombs against Syrian women and children.

The Ministry stated that upholding the contents of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948 requires an international investigation of crimes against humanity and human rights committed by US administrations all over the world including in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo prisons and secret prisons in Europe.

The ministry concluded its statement by saying that many human rights instruments and protocols seize the occasion of International Human Rights Day to emphasize condemnation of American practices and violations of human rights and the importance of countries in the world coordinating their efforts not to allow the United States and its allies to use human rights as a tool to suppress people's will and aspirations.
