(CNN Spanish) - The remains found on Wednesday correspond to the C-130 aircraft of the Chilean Air Force that disappeared on Monday, confirmed the Chilean Defense Minister Alberto Espina Otero
The minister explained in a press conference from Punta Arenas that 23 aircraft, 14 naval media and 11 international agencies with satellite capabilities, work on the recovery of the remains of the plane.
"They will work to find all the remains to determine and that there is no doubt about what happened in this accident and be very supportive of the relatives who live something dramatic," said Minister Espina.
The minister considered the 38 passengers on the plane dead, but did not detail that human remains have been found so far.
“When 38 compatriots die, collaborating is not a favor, it is a duty, because family members and the country deserve to know what happened,” said Espina Otero.
