This time there is a clear decision

Israeli democracy now seems like an Italian circus. Jugglers flip torches in every direction, thick clown clowns, dunking, rolling inflated balls. High-floor gymnasts, incredibly flexible, moving on a thin rope, are tied in an invisible harness to a rattle announcer. The audience applauds the circus artists, who momentarily forget about the reality outside and hold their eyes.

In any case, democracy is better than a single, single-minded government. If the price of democracy is another election date, it is not bad if we finally reach a decision. In order to make a real decision, without the need for D and F, it is important for citizens to present positions and principles on the basic questions rather than pyrotechnics consisting of poor, content-driven slogans that degrade voter intelligence. The question of financial cost is marginal because transitional governments have considerable financial savings.

A third day in higher education institutions is always considered to provide improvements for students with creative excuses who failed the exams on both previous dates. I hope that the elections will lead to a historic decision on Israel's path and future. For years, the decision was not made to the citizens, as there were always pressing but temporary issues at the center of the election campaign.

The political left, joined by Avigdor Lieberman, Shai Nitzan, who he says is already in the Haaretz newspaper, retired top judges and commentators on the television channels, will repeatedly fine-tune Netanyahu's files. The slogans "Just not Bibi", "Pardon" and "Retirement" will star in every title. A blue and white falsehood that "Israel above all" will again appear on billboards. Pike commentators will make every effort to convince the Likud to blame for the additional election. Any Likud member, junior or senior, who would be willing to say a bad word about Netanyahu will be immediately promoted to the head of editions, and polls will, as always, try to deceive public opinion.

The struggle for home

Beyond the slogans, these are elections that are of enormous importance to the future of the state. Gantz can market his sympathy to the ultra-Orthodox and his love for the religious, including the Messianic. However, it does not determine the direction in blue and white. Torch gave up the rotation because he didn't need it. In any case, his opinion is decisive. I believe more in MK Ofer Shalah, who speaks of two states for two peoples, than Gantz, who told how many Gazans were killed during his tenure as chief of staff.

The Israeli right must overcome its self-destructive mechanism. This time the fight is really about the house. In every election campaign, the left rubbed their hands with pleasure as the right-wingers invested their best talent in the fight in the house, rather than facing them.

David Ben-Gurion's Declaration of Independence, in one of the greatest moments in Jewish history, speaks of the Land of Israel where the Jewish people was founded. Israel was always considered the nation-state of the Jewish people. The left-wing bloc led by Blue and White seeks to change the country's deepest essence. No longer a Jewish state but the state of all its citizens and nationalities. For them, being a free nation in our country means being free from anything that has a Jewish trait.

It is essential that the parties leave preoccupation with trifles and concentrate primarily. It is essential to argue about the state's way, its achievements or its failures, to present principles and to make them public. I have a pretty clear estimate of who will win if the elections focus on the real issues.
