A 33-year-old Latvian citizen was arrested two weeks ago at Ben-Gurion Airport when a suitcase containing 2.1kg of methamphetamine was found in his suitcase.

The investigation revealed that the suspect agreed to serve as a courier to transfer drugs to Israel in exchange for € 1,500, and that he was expected to wait at a Tel Aviv hotel until they were contacted by other involved parties.

Following his arrest, Yarkon area investigators opened an undercover investigation to arrest additional suspects, including two 33-year-old Thai citizens and a 36-year-old Israeli citizen. The suspects were periodically extended in court, and Thursday (Thursday) prosecutor's statement for import, trafficking and possession of dangerous drugs .
