For 20 years, Abd al-Aziz Botflika ruled Algeria, until on April 3 this year the president decided to resign after a widespread protest. And today (Friday) the Electoral Commission in Algiers announced the winner of the election, Abd al Majid Tabun, who received 58.15% of the vote.
Second place was Abdul Kadar Inter-Korean (17.38%), followed by Ali Inter-Palis (10.55%) and Azi Din-Din Mohbi (7.26%). The new Algerian president is 74 years old who was born in Naama Province in the southwestern state. He has a college education in economics - which may help him with the plethora of tasks that await him in the state in this field. These include, for example, an unemployment rate of more than 11% and a deficit of about 27% of GDP.
