(CNN Spanish) - The UN Human Rights Office published a report on the crisis in Chile on Friday in which it describes multiple human rights violations by Carabineros and suggests reforms to the Government of Sebastian Piñera.
The report was made by a team from the UN Office of Human Rights, which visited seven regions in Chile to report human rights violations.

The team details examples of excessive use of force by police officers: torture, ill-treatment, rape and other forms of sexual violence.
The report cites the figure of the Ministry of Justice of 4,903 people injured until December 10, including 2,792 police officers, in addition to 26 deaths investigated by the Public Ministry.
According to the report, "the alarmingly high number of people with eye or facial wounds (approximately 350) shows that there are well-founded reasons to believe that" less lethal weapons were used improperly and indiscriminately. "
