Today 1198 male and female students from Syrian universities, "public and private", who are graduating from the standardized information engineering exam, "Canon 2019".
Students were divided into four exam centers within the universities of “Damascus, Aleppo, Al-Ba’ath, and Tishreen”, according to Dr. Maysoon Dashash, Director General of the Measurement and Evaluation Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to the external access centers in “Beirut, Cairo, Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Istanbul, Kuwait, Erbil, Jordan, Germany, Sudan and the Sultanate of Oman” .
In a statement to Sana, Dr. Dashash indicated that the exam, which lasted two hours and was given to him by the fifth year students in colleges of information engineering who had only 12 credit hours or 4 courses for 2019, included several axes in the algorithms, data structures, basics of software engineering, artificial intelligence, networks, and databases.
A student’s success from public and private universities and obtaining a 50 percent mark is a condition for graduation. The student benefits from exam assistance by only two marks. A student’s success and a 60 percent mark is a condition for applying for a postgraduate study.
