The French oil company Total announced that a huge fire broke out inside its refinery near the city of Le Havre in northwest France.
"There were no injuries reported from the fire that broke out at the level of the fuel transport pump at the Gonfreville Normandet refinery and was subsequently controlled," Reuters quoted the company as saying in a statement.
Total suspended production at the refinery, which produces 253,000 barrels per day.
