The alliance between former president of the Pro Santa Cruz Civic Committee, Luis Fernando Camacho, and the leader of the Potosinist Civic Committee, Marco Pumari, seemed to have great possibilities for the next presidential elections in Bolivia. But a recording in which the two apparently negotiate the distribution of power in a presidential formula broke the alliance. Conclusions aired a conversation between the two leaders at the beginning of this week in which Pumari would apparently request US $ 250,000, in addition to the control of two customs, in exchange for agreeing to be the candidate for vice president of Camacho. Pumari confirmed that it is his voice that is heard, but that the information was taken out of context and that the audio was manipulated. It requires evidence to show that he requested money in exchange for the candidacy. In an interview with Fernando del Rincón on Friday, Camacho denied that he knew of that recording, or that he had been the author. Del Rincón insistently asked Camacho how he could say he didn't know about the recording, when he had sent one to himself. Camacho acknowledged giving the presenter a segment of more than 40 minutes taken from a two-hour recording, but still said he did not know where it came from. In the interview, Camacho neither denied nor confirmed that Pumari had requested US $ 250,000 and control of the two customs, but insisted that Pumari had agreed to be his vice president.
