In France, the transportation strike continued for the tenth consecutive day, in rejection of the pension reform project, with demonstrations in a number of cities.
The French Press Agency reported that a significant disruption in railway traffic was recorded today with one of four stops for high-speed trains, while nine metro lines were closed in Paris and its region, and bus traffic stopped by sixty percent.
"If the government wants to end the conflict before Christmas and New Year, then it has the entire next week to make a wise decision that imposes itself, to withdraw the amendment one by one," he said, expressing his rejection of any calm.
For his part, union official Roger Dillensiger told France Info: "There must be a positive message from the government for the trains to return to work."
Large protest gatherings are scheduled today in the cities of Strasbourg, Lyon and Rennes, at the invitation of staff unions and youth organizations.
And labor unions in France launched ten days ago a comprehensive strike paralyzing the transportation movement in the country in protest and denouncing the government's plans to amend the retirement law, where most unions reject these plans nearly a year after the start of the demonstrations led by the yellow jacket movement.
