The Jewish-Persian Synagogue in Beverly Hills
Suspect of another anti-Semitic incident in the US: The Beverly Hills Police Department is investigating vandalism at the Nessah Synagogue, which is part of the Jewish-Persian community in the city, and is considered one of the largest and most recognized synagogues in the area.
According to local media, worshipers who arrived in the morning for Saturday morning prayer encountered a terrible spectacle of shattered suns and desecrated Torah scrolls. "The whole thing is still under investigation," said Deputy Robert Maycott of Beverly Hills Station, "and at this stage we should not disclose further details."
People living in the area said that even after the police closed the place, the many messes left by the vandalists could be seen. One of the occupants said that the act of vandalism occurred on the night between Thursday and Friday and that "it was evident that Zak was also caused inside the synagogue's walls." Beverly Hills Police declined to confirm the allegation, announcing that they would hold a regular press conference as soon as the investigation was complete.
