Mathis said: "I came home from work and went up from the parking lot to my floor. At that very moment, a woman with a cute little dog entered the elevator, but I noticed that the leash was long and indeed the elevator was closed when the dog was left outside and started to suffocate because the leash began to pull it."

The young man went on to elaborate on how to rescue the dog with great resourcefulness. "I ran to him and managed to release the leash from him. At that moment the leash really flew to the top of the elevator. If I hadn't let the dog out he would have died terribly suffocated."
