The body of the whale dolphin was found in Sai Wan, Sai Kung. It is a young male finless porpoise with a length of 121 cm. The body is of Grade III moderate rot. The cause of death has yet to be determined. The Ocean Park Conservation Fund stated that the corpse had been brought back to Ocean Park for detailed tests, and this year was the 51st case of a whale dolphin.
The Ocean Park Conservation Fund urges the public to call the 1823 hotline if a suspected cetacean stranding case is found, and provide the time, place, and photo (if any) of the stranded discovery so that the action team can follow up as soon as possible.
