A medical team, with the participation of doctors from Lebanon and Iraq, conducted more than 35 theoretical and investigative work with modern techniques and interventions in the General Authority of Damascus Hospital on the sidelines of the annual scientific conference of the Syrian Society for Digestive Diseases.
Doctors applied the latest endoscopic treatments to digestive problems through 28 endoscopic procedures that were transferred directly to a lecture hall to be shared with students and specialists, in addition to the "fibroscan" technique for imaging the liver cells of about 8 patients.
Sheiha pointed out that the hospital performs about 20 gastroscopy operations and 8 colonoscopy operations daily, while 20 biliary operations are performed weekly.
